Break Up to Make Up

Are you ready to break a sweat and feel the burn?

The Academy of Self Defense is excited to present our newest WOD, “Break-Up to Make-Up”! This WOD is divided into two parts, each designed to push you to your limits and help you achieve your fitness goals.

Part A, “The Break-Up”, is an EMOM AMRAP that will test your strength and endurance. Each minute, you will perform a set number of squat cleans and burpees, increasing the reps each round until you can no longer make it. At that point, you will choose from a variety of iso holds, including high/low/side plank, wall sit, SL glute bridge hold, bottom push-up hold, or ultimate pike. Challenge yourself to hold out longer than your teammates and see how far you can go!

Part B, “The Make-Up”, is a series of partner exercises that will challenge your coordination and teamwork. You’ll start with 10 under-over buddy nordic hammy curls, followed by an AMRAP of nordic hammy curls. Then, you’ll move on to 30 3-way partner leg throws, a wheelbarrow exercise, and a band rotation with stability press. Finally, you’ll finish off with some bag work, including jab cross resets, 2-3-2 resets, and 7-9 resets. This part of the workout will leave you feeling accomplished and strong.

Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to challenge yourself and take your fitness to the next level. Join us for “Break-Up to Make-Up” at the Academy of Self Defense today!
