Muay Thai Kickboxing

Muay Thai classes will provide an intense workout and provide instruction for beginners through advanced levels. For those focused on intense physical training the conditioning in our Muay Thai classes will improve strength and explosiveness, build lean muscle, increase flexibility, and take your cardio to new levels. From a technical standpoint classes will typically focus on kicking and defenses; punches, elbows, and combinations; knees and clinch fighting. This technical training culminates weekly with the emphasis and focus on actual sparring.

Whether you’re looking to take your martial skills to the next level, test your striking abilities or pursue competition, our Muay Thai program is a great fit for anyone looking to challenge themselves. (Required equipment: Head Gear, boxing gloves (16 oz. for males, 14 oz. for females), mouthpiece, groin protection, and shin guards.

What is Muay Thai?
Muay Thai is known as the "The Art of Eight Limbs" as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. It is an aggressive contact sport that in addition to its stand-up striking focus also involves various clinching techniques.

Age Requirements
All Muay Thai participants must be 18+ years old.

Gear Requirements
Head Gear, Mouthpiece, Groin Protection, MMA Muay Thai or Grappling Style Shin Guards, MMA Gloves, 16 oz. Boxing Gloves

Jivoni Jordan
Jivoni Jordan has been involved in combative arts and sports for over 35 years. As a student, fighter, coach and teacher, some of his training disciplines include Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, San Shou, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, and Krav Maga. Jivoni is also a very accomplished combative fitness instructor and has developed his own program, JCF® (Jivoni's Combo Fit). Jivoni is also a world class fight coach and trainer with clients ranging from law enforcement officers, triathletes, NFL players, and world champion fighters.

Steven Osuna
Steven is a south bay native who brings 18+ years of experience in combat sports as a student and fighter. He has boxed for over 11 years and was a two-time Junior Olympic Champion. For the past seven years he has turned his focus to Muay Thai with competition experience under the Strikeforce promotion. During his martial training he has also added krav maga and various forms of combative fitness training to his repertoire. Steve’s experience and approachable, upbeat demeanor allow him to effectively connect with both beginning and advanced students.
