Youth Self Defense & Fitness Belt Testing

Today Coach Mo and Coach Audie conducted Belt Testing during class. These children have accumulated enough classes and knowledge to test their skills today, and everyone did such a great job!

Our Youth program focuses on three primary rules to encourage good decision-making in threatening or potential “bullying” situations:


  1. Avoid fighting at all costs.
  2. If someone does attack you, defend yourself to the best of your abilities.
  3. Never cause more harm to your attacker than is necessary to protect yourself.

In addition to anti-bullying techniques, fitness is also be emphasized in the program. Circuit training style workouts, obstacle courses, problem solving and critical thinking skills will also be incorporated.

If you are interested in checking out our Youth Program, classes are Tuesday and Thursdays from 5:15pm – 6:00pm, and Saturdays from 10:15am – 11:00am.
