Programs
At
the Academy of Self Defense we teach two unique and award
winning age appropriate martial arts and safety programs for
children. Our Junior
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) program (Ages 7-12) and our KNOW & GO®
child safety program (Ages 7-12) have been carefully designed to
offer the most effective martial arts and life skills guidance to
realistically allow a child to defend themselves all while having fun
in the process of learning it.
JUNIOR
MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA) TRAINING PROGRAM (AGES 7-12)
T
he
Academy of Self Defense’s goal is to develop our junior
students into not only well rounded martial artists and athletes, but
just as importantly to help develop their character. We achieve this
by teaching our students a unique and cutting-edge Mixed Martial Arts
(MMA) Program which is a combination of four highly effective
disciplines: Ho Sin Sul Karate, Kickboxing, Submission Grappling and
Kali/Escrima to provide our junior students with a realistic personal
protection system for a modern world.
By
combining these realistic and effective systems of the martial arts
our junior students are better able to defend themselves. Where most
systems of martial arts focus mainly on one area of techniques, our
Juniors program’s mixed martial arts approach allows us to
train a well rounded student for self improvement and self
protection. By combining these arts the students will learn how to
defend themselves in almost any situation.
Our
combined curriculum also allows for our students to offer an
appropriate range of responses in order to defend themselves, defuse
situations. They
also learn conflict resolution and when they should and shouldn’t
use their skills.
KNOW
& GO® CHILD SAFETY PROGRAMS (AGES 7-12)
Our
KNOW & GO® programs teach children how to avoid the most
common, harmful situations they may face between the ages of 7 - 12.
There’s nothing more precious or sacred than our children and
part of being a parent, guardian or teacher is to enlighten and
empower them with the skills they need to succeed in any life
situation – good or bad.
KNOW
& GO® was researched, developed, and tested as an important
first step to ensuring your child’s safety. KNOW & GO®
is a specialized, fun-filled, action packed, safety course designed
for children between the ages of 7 and 12, organized into two age
appropriate levels.
